Who we are
This website is operated by Cobalt Web Design (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Gloucestershire, UK. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, email us at contact@cobaltwebdesign.com or message us on WhatsApp.
What information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. This mainly happens when you:
- Fill in a contact form on this site — we collect your name, email address, and whatever message you send us.
- Message us directly via email or WhatsApp — we’ll have your email address or phone number and the content of your message.
We don’t currently use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies on this site. If that changes in future, we’ll update this policy and the cookie banner accordingly before any such tools go live.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us only to:
- Respond to your enquiry and discuss your project with you.
- Keep a record of the conversation so we can deliver the work you’ve asked for.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Here’s what this site currently uses:

We keep enquiry information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if we work together, for the duration of our business relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards for our records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your rights” below).
Who we share information with
We use standard third-party services to run this site and respond to enquiries, including our web hosting provider and email provider. We don’t share your personal information with anyone else unless we’re legally required to.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct information that’s inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Object to how we’re using your information, or ask us to restrict it.
To exercise any of these rights, just email contact@cobaltwebdesign.com. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can also complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add new tools or cookies to the site. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
